Egypt has been famous to be an agricultural land. The fertility of the Nile valley soil produces double of any other land. Fruits and vegetables exist in abundance. In every neighborhood you find a market place. Most of them are mobile carriages.   shopping unit is kilo nad its folds. venders always try to sell you more than one kilo. Thus  Egyptians buy more than they probably need. Guests hosted over lunch or dinner normally buy their hostess fruits instead of wine in the west. Finishing your dish in the west means that you liked the food so much, but finishing your dish here could be iterpretated that your host did not offer you enough and would be expected to urge you to eat more.

Most of fruits and vegetables  venders come from the countryside.  venders here wear a wide type of cloth called "Galabia".which is quite distguishable for  comers from the country side. Farmers prefer this wide modest type of dress. it is the most comfortable and ventilated in summer time. the best ones are made in a light color in pure cotton.

Since moustache is a manly hood sign in country side, it is almost nil to find a farmer with no moustache.
